bio
Stina Ehn (*1996 Uppsala, Sweden) is a dance artist living in Stockholm. Performing, choreographing, and organising performance evenings, she’s interested in dance as a place to negotiate relational contracts. Letting spatial details and tactile affairs inform the imagery produced, she works with methods where writing and dancing shape one another. Almost always in collaboration with other artists.
Her choreographic work has been presented internationally at venues and festivals such as Vector by Dance Nucleus Singapore, Revolve Performance Art Days and Köttinspektionen in Uppsala, Weld Stockholm, Kiezkapelle Berlin, DanseRom Bergen, and HAUT and Dance Cooperative in Copenhagen.
As a dancer, Stina has performed in works by choreographers such as Stina Nyberg, Malin Elgán, Adriano Wilfert Jensen & Andrea Zavala Folache, Cristina Caprioli, Hana Lee Erdman & Louise Dahl, Alix Eynaudi, Ellen Söderhult, and with Weld Extended.
She’s a member at the artist house höjden studios in Stockholm, where she’s organising the performance event Kafé Mix together with Jennie Bergsli and Lisen Pousette.
Stina holds a BFA in Dance and Choreography from the Danish National School of Performing Arts in Copenhagen.
2022 she received a one-year work grant from the Swedish Arts Grants Committee. 2026 she’s a recipient of the danceWEB scholarship at ImPulsTanz Festival in Vienna.
